Your Social Media Strategy Can’t Be Successful Without Company-Wide Support

Social media has become an important tool for public relations professionals, and many enterprise technology companies understand the importance of having a social presence. That doesn’t mean, however, that they’re using social media correctly.

Forrester Consulting and Conversocial surveyed more than 150 social strategists and contact center executives and found that one-third of the companies were not using social media to its full advantage. If you want your B2B technology PR strategy to be successful, you must make sure that employees in every department, not just the PR and marketing teams, understand how to use social media for business. More consumers are turning to social networks to voice displeasure over customer service, products not working properly or missing shipments, and it is not surprise that many brands have followed consumers’ into the social space. But, according to one new report, though many brands have a social ‘presence’ that presence may not make the best impression.
