Public relations professionals are no strangers to the importance of communication – it’s what they’re trained in, after all. Unfortunately, many B2B technology PR pros put so much effort into making sure the communications they put out for their clients that they sometimes forget to put that same effort into communicating with their clients. This can cause conflict within even the best of relationships.
Mickie Kennedy of eReleases shared a few tips for how PR pros can better communicate with their clients.
First and foremost, a PR pro needs to become intimately familiar with the product or service his client sells. That means, as a client, you need to make sure you hold nothing back. Open the doors, so to speak, and let them see what you have to offer. You also need to be open to any critiquing that may follow.
